I noticed recently, while shooting street photography, how many people are using some kind of cell phone/tablet device at any given time. With that in mind and in an effort to record the times we live in I’ve now started doing a series of shots where at least one person is seeing using a communication device in the picture. We may look back in 20 or 30 years and say: “is that a cell phone?” So over the next few days I will present images that capture the use of cell phones in various situations. Enjoy
La Caja de Fotos is a blog about photographs. It literary means Box of Photos. The concept was inspired by the action of storing our pictures some place, in my case I use a box, where they lie dormant until on any random day I decide to go through the box. The process of going through those images creates a series of feelings: nostalgia, happiness, anger, confusion, coupled with a rush a memories. That process is the reason I continue to shoot. Over the next few months I will open the box and create an online version of it.
